Databricks Administrator

CoreKonnect is looking for a Databricks Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise Databricks environments supporting data engineering, analytics, and machine learning workloads. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Databricks clusters, security, performance tuning, and cloud data platforms.

This role will focus on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the Databricks environment while supporting data teams and maintaining compliance within a regulated financial services environment.

  • Education :

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Experience :
    Proven experience as a Databricks Administrator or Data Platform Administrator. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Understanding of data governance, security standards, and regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Databricks Platform Administration
    • Deploy, configure, and manage Databricks clusters, workspaces, and environments.
    • Monitor and optimize cluster performance to support large-scale data workloads.
    • Manage cluster lifecycle, auto-scaling, and resource optimization.
  • Security & Access Management
    • Configure user access controls, roles, and permissions.
    • Implement security best practices aligned with banking compliance and governance requirements.
    • Ensure secure integration with enterprise identity and access management systems.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization
    • Monitor cluster utilization and troubleshoot performance issues.
    • Implement cluster tuning strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Collaboration & Support
    • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to support data workloads.
    • Assist teams in optimizing Spark jobs and Databricks workflows.
  • Automation & Infrastructure Management
    • Automate deployment and configuration using scripts, APIs, and DevOps tools.
    • Maintain documentation related to system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Databricks Administrator or Data Platform Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of Spark, SQL, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Experience managing data platforms in banking or financial services environments.
  • Understanding of data governance, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Databricks or cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP).
  • Experience with ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and infrastructure automation.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks within financial institutions.
